Is Tree tea oil safe to soak your birds feet in?

I'm super confused about this topic now because I just found this. There is so much conflicting information. I've sprayed my coop with it and have never had problems though.

Me as well. Seems that sometimes theres just so many conflicting opinions on some things, garlic is that way too. I prefer to stay away from Tea Tree to be safe, but I use other oil and tinctures instread. I'm a huge fan of calendula tincture/oil. Its a powerful anti-inflamatory when taken internally, and its antibacterial, etc, etc. This article talks about it for dogs, it is also perfectly safe for chickens. Very similar benefits as Tea Tree oil.
