I hatched out eggs under a few broodies from a guy on Craig's list. You can see the small OEG that was one of the broodies still hanging with her "babies." He had (in separate pens) Light Brahma, RIR, Turken, and Jersey Giants. He gave me a mixed bag so to speak at my request. I love surprises
So, I was sad, no Turkens (2 broken by the broodies, 2 no hatch out of 12), I don't know why I was sad, but I was. I think these two black 9 week olds are the Jersey Giants. Anyone guess on the sex? It is no biggie, but am curious. The other birds with them are their hatch mates, I haven't figured out the sex of the RIR yet, but they will declare themselves here in a few weeks. But the Jersey's, I have no experience with, so any input would be great.
