Hey all. I'm not sure which forum to put this in so please move it if it has a better place.
Many of you probably don't remember me but I started raising chickens a few years back, but I had to sell them for a bunch of reasons and I miss them very very much.
I still remember all of their names and colors and sounds and have hundreds of pictures of them...... sigh.
Anyway, I can not have a chicken coop/run. But I miss the companionship of my chickens..
I was thinking of having 1 or 2 house chickens. Where I'm living now, I can have hens galore but no roosters. Which is unfair. Boys deserve love too.
My biggest questions are:
Do your house chickens wear diapers 24/7, or only during the day?
What do they sleep in, a special bird cage, or do they have 100% free roam throughout the house?
What do you do with them when you are gone to work or class or business trip etc etc?
Do you need more than one for highest levels of happiness?
If they lay an egg while wearing a diaper..... how do you know?
