my 1st gen lavenders as chicks i got them as eggs from hj hink they are 3 months now

post and disscuss the activities and look of the breed on this thread please

I am just trying to start a little breeding program, however, I was told that my three babies are roos. Here are their sweet little mugs anyhow.

Thoughts on gender??

#1 "Big" This one is a week older than the other two




#2 "Blackie"


#3 "Stripes"

I don't see three boys in the pictures... #1 might be a cockerel but the other two look like pullets to me. Lavender are still very much a project and combs can express very early even in pullets. Hang tight and grow them out you might just be surprised.

I do I do! I have 6 I hatched out and another dozen getting ready to go in the bator. I am just getting my flock started this year and I love'em

I also have lavenders - 10 babies that are "related" to yours. Mine are about a week old now, doing great w/their foster mom (an Orpington/WyandotteX).

I've got 7 that are 6+ weeks and 3 more that are 2+ weeks. Definitely cute little guys.
