I've been wanting to change my stock to purebred anyhow, two breeds. I've got a supposed purebred Flemish Giant buck, but I'd like to cross him to a New Zealand or California to get the hybrid vigour.

I adored my NZs, they just were idiots on caffeine and speed. Have you seen if satins are avaliable? They're not typical meaties, but they do really well. I had a girl I crossed with my NZ buck and her babies were adorable and deliciousI'm open to other breeds, those are just the most common around here.

There's also the matter of price. I would rather pay less for a common NZ than over $100 for a less common breed.
