i have noticed a few people asking questions like: "Whats a breed of chicken that starts with Q???" and other things like that so i decided to go to feathersite.com and get a list of breeds if you want to check this out yourself go to www.feathersite.com go to poultry pages and then chickens for a list of breeds and info.

Here are the Swedish chicken breeds from: http://www.alternativ.nu/users/lantrasf0rum/sida3.htm

I wrote down the Swedish names to the left (in Swedish, breeds' names begin with a lower case letter, unless it's in the beginning of a sentence) and in the brackets, I put down what I thought was the corresponding name from your list (I may be wrong!).

Note: höna means hen.
Dvärghöna, literally dwarf hen, means bantam.

bohuslän-dals svarthöna (Svart Höna/Swedish Black Hens)
skånsk blommehöna (Flower Hens)
åsbohöna (Åsbos)
ölandshöna (Ölands)
gotlandshöna (Gotlands)
kindahöna (no match)
hedemorahöna (Hedemora Hens)
öländsk dvärghöna (Olansk bantams)
gammalsvensk dvärghöna (no match)

Is there a reason for why ölandshöna is Ölands in English, but öländsk dvärghöna is Olandsk bantams? Because logically, the latter should be Öländsk bantams.
