Locked down last evening!

Well, the first batch in my new Sportsman. I started small to get the hang of the new incubator. I put 60 eggs in. Not sure why but candling found about 25 non-viable eggs. Probably because they got too cold in the nest box. The 35 that remained looked great though with just the right air cell and looking like they will hatch. They should be pipping when I get home from work Friday evening I hope. Wish me luck!

I had an early bird! They really aren't due until this time tomorrow evening, but when I went out to feed the peeps in the brooders and check the incubator, there he was! I think I can see 5 more tinny little pips further back with a flashlight.

Haha I had an early one too. Hatched early this morning, and only one other is pipped that I can see, this chick is bulldozing through the eggs and rolling them.
