First breeding succes with white Australian Wood Ducks in Australia, beautifull, thanks for sharing these pics Nicholas Markham, when they grow up i hope i can post more pics of these remarkable birds,

Has anyone ever seen this: a white-headed ringteal??

I saw this photo at a french sales-site...

I can't place the photograph here. I get following error:

I don't think the Ringed Teal in question is a mutation. White in the heads of female ducks is not uncommon and may have something to do with age. It's pretty common in pochards, but has been documented in several other species.
