Hi
I bought a dickeys cabinet incubator,Its like a GQF 1502.I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what to use to hold the eggs in the trays besides buying the plastic egg racks??
I was wanting to hatch out a bunch of quail.Like 500.
Any ideas appreciated.
thanks

we have 1202 sportsmans, we use the plastic pheasant racks for bantams but also egg cartons for standard and brown egg chicken eggs. if u can find it to hold smaller eggs, cartons or egg foam would work. egg shipping foam should be perfect for them.
hope that helps,
silkie

When I am hatching a lot of eggs. I dont use the plastic trays I just fill the metal tray to maximum capacity. Make sure they are so full they dont roll around during a turning cycle or the will break.

The quail trays do double stack if your really going for a big hatch.
