MALLARD THREAD...not rouens, Mallards!

I live on the Chesapeake bay and our wild mallards have become very very light colored in recent years (females only) i wonder if its to camouflage with the sand on the beach (saw a female sit down and almost disappear; she was so well camouflaged) or if somebody's "dumped" duck got in the mix. Any ideas? I was just wondering. The striping is dark its just the base color so to speak thats lighter

This is pretty close but id say lighter still, ill have to take my own pictures sometime when i get a chance

I don't see a mix, I have a light colored Mallard hen.

Hey guys so we have alittle surprise today one of my girls got off of her nest today and I had the biggest little surprise a little yellow duckling idk if it's albino yet I haven't been able to get too close but I will get a full analysis in the morning
