Massive egg from our White Plymouth Rock

Received my new egg scale today. Here's how "Colossus" weighs in. I don't believe the hen has laid an egg since this one on Monday. It has been cold and snowy.

We cracked it open and it was just a huge double yolk and not one of those egg-in-an-egg rarities. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Poor little girl. I do like White Rocks and have been considering one for next year as we will probably adding to our little flock of four.

I can say that they are VERY easy and adaptable and would be a perfect choice to add to an existing flock.
