OK I'm jealous. That is one big basket of eggs. I assume that is the daily take? I only get three on a good day. We hope to have a fresh batch of chicks in a couple of months or so, and if all goes well, laying by late summer.

Great pictures, Trisha! I also have 23 layers and got 17 eggs today. My neighbors sometimes ask for 4-6 dozen at at a time, so I usually don't have that many to pile up in the fridge.

Trish, it looks like your female to male ratio is about how ours is... including all pets (and us!) we have 4 males and 25 females. Gotta keep the balance of power tilted correctly!
