My name is Monique, my fiance Dwight and I have been raising tiny raptors for the last 4 years. Now before we were together, he had raised chickens prior. Not as much as a newbie as I am. we've been through unfortunately 3 different flocks due to our first one being stolen, half of our second one getting killed by a fox, which devastated me as my chickens are my emotional support animals.
This third flock we had one Roo, a Blue painted splash Silkie. He is 3, we got him at a couple of days old. His name is Dutch Boy. He is My fiances baby! As almost all our chicken are MOMMY'S baby!! He's actually in a chicken calendar, and side table book shirtless holding dutch. It was a contest he won. As my birds think their daddy is chicken Jesus.
Next we have my fiances favorite breed, our three Ameracuna hens; Houdini, Ragamuffin, and Nikki 6
Next we have my Red Star Hen Daisy Lily
Now after that we got 8 sibling Ayam Cemani Mix Chickens. Three brothers. my straight comb boy, Prince Branch Gristle. He is my biggest roo of my flock, his two older brothers, first our big floppy comb cutie Grim Reaper, and their oldest brother my red comb boy Trouble Maker Pain In My Butt, YES!! That's His full name. Then we have the oldest of the eight, their sister Princess Sugar Cube. Yes you read that right, my black chicken is named sugar! Next oldest sister named Peppercorn Chip. Then the youngest of the siblings Miss Jade Onyx. Now two of the brothers fathered two offspring. Trouble had a daughter, with our Welsummer Bridget Marie. Now her best friend, our blue speckled Wyandotte Poppy Rose was the one to hatch their baby, because she was the one who was Broody. Now lol Chicken Dumpling hatched in the evening. But a problem arose. Both her parents, and auntie were fairly young. So they were trying to peck her unsure what exactly to do. So we decided to raise her inside. Due to chickens being. Social creatures she was very lonely. So we went to tractor supply store to adopt siblings for her. We ended up with the Cochin my fiance picked out, and named her first name, but i finished her full name. She was waddling to the food bowl. So my fiance named him Waddles i added Waffle Bar. Next we got a BEAUTIFUL bantam RIR roo I named Baby Girl, of course before we knew he was a roo. And lately we got a GORGEOUS Spanish White Face Black and his name is Twilight Midnight Onyx. Now two months later my Big Sloppy comb boy Grim Reaper and Nikki 6 hatched a roo. Which I named Chicken Pot Pie. He has splashes of his mothers brown colors, and a little bitty floppy comb like his daddy.
So then we got given some chickens for free. Two Dominiques Elvis and Priscilla
Two RIR hens i named Cherry Garcia and Banana Pudding.
And two Light Susex a Room I named Friday Wednesday, a hen I name Icicle Frost who just started laying her first eggs as did her leghorn sister Ursula Seashell. To which Icicle IMMEDIATELY started going broody sitting on about 22-25 eggs in her clutch of both their eggs! Kind of SHOCKED me she went broody immediately! And lastly with this group we got an older hen another Welsummer which i named apple pie strudel. Yes.... A lot of my birds are named food names, and branch gristle, poppy, and Bridget were name after the kids movie Trolls. so that is my flock. Here are my beautiful babies. Sorry our story was so long.
