Mixed breed ducks!

Here is this years offspring from last years babies. The silver appleyard comes through pretty well but most are a little darker but still Come out with that beautiful plumage that looks almost leopard type print. I am selling all the ones that don’t feather out with the silver appleyard plumage or have the crest. I am not keeping or going to continue breeding any with a crest. There are a few that are black/white , grey/white or all black with a bib. Those ducklings are from a Peking hen I added to the mix. I am going to keep a few of her offspring and breed them in this fall or next spring. When I breed them back some of the duckling should have silver appleyard or mallard type feathering. I’m trying to breed in fresh blood without loosing that beautiful plumage. No one in the islands has or sells Rouens or Appleyards as far as I know or I would buy pure one to breed into my flock. I will update again after I thin my flock and show the beauties I have left after they all mature and feather out.

They are gorgeous! I’ve for an Anacona baby which I believe could be mixed with wild mallard. He/she was completely yellow when hatched (4 weeks old). Mom is black/white Ancona. Do you think any of yours have Ancona parentage?

I’m sure mine don’t have any actual Ancona but when the Peking crosses with the Appleyards a lot of the babies have Ancona type print and look like them. Your babies are beautiful ❤️

Uggh the 2 hens made three nests and couldn't keep any of the eggs warm lol. Qe had an overnight power outage so out of the 12 I incubated 5 hatched.
They are so adorable. The whitish one in the middle looks a lot like my mystery duckling. Male or female? Do you know the parentage or possibilities?

I though this girl was all cayuga because she was an all black duckling. But apparently not, she has brown coming in on the tips of black feathers. Its either cayuga x buff, cayuga x welsh, cayuga x khaki Campbell. What do you guys think, it was hard to hold her and get a picture.

Here is my mystery duck’s photo from today. I’m almost sure it’s a drake; they’re over seven weeks now and no quacks. Is this a wild mallard/Ancona hybrid or a strangely marked Ancona?
