Last week, my broody hatched out several Cochins, and my incubator hatched some more Silkies and 1 Mille Fleur Cochin for Christmas. Here are their pics. I thought some of my Christmas Hatch Buddies would like to see their updated pics, instead of wet chicks, they are all now fluffed up.
My one and only Mille fleur Cochin, 2 days old, I suspect it is a male, and we've named him Zeus. Zeus is perched on Rummy's back.
Confident little Zeus looks up to Rummy's big black nose.
Zeus and the other Silkies in their brooder. I've mixed them in with a week old chicks. The older chicks were very useful, in teaching the young 1 day olds how to eat and drink.
Bite sized morsels (Silkies) and Rummy. The silkies are 1 week old.
2 Airedales and silkies, the dogs are going to be their protectors when they start free ranging.
Beautiful blue silkie (1 week old)
Silkies who love to snuggle in the Airedale's fur, will one day learn to trust them in the outdoors to protect them.
A white silkie falls asleep between paws.
Blue bearded silkie, 1 week old
White bearded silkie, 1 week old
