My Canada Adolescent Goose is missing

I have a fully fenced yard, she roams freely during the day around with the other goose and two young call ducks. She's been acting a little more people oriented the last two days, hanging out on the porch in front of the kitchen door, I kept having to shoo her off.

Now, she's disappeared into thin air. Last I saw her, I went out this morning to change the water in the wading pool.

She's been experimenting with small flights, I've seen her get 4 feet off the ground and go a few yards. I can't imagine her flying over the fence, but maybe she did. If she's sick, I've looked in every possible bush or other hiding place.

She was a newly hatched gosling this spring, so she's still very young.

It's a mystery! She's my favorite all time darling little bird. I hope she comes back.

Update, we returned from the lake, the goose was back, the other goose besides herself with joy. Message on answering machine saying that goose was flying besides my neighbor's car, then following them around.

My goose has now had a little clip to her wings...
