Oh I am so happy for you! Sweet little fluffs! I am so glad they are ok, for your sake and your neighbors. I imagine your neighbor felt pretty terrible, so good news all around.

And I will be praying for you, your mom and the new baby chicks too. I can't even imagine how stressful the last few days must have been for you. Congrats on the new little ones.

My neighbor felt terrible. She was worried id lose the chicks, in the midst of everything. Im so happy they all hatched and are doing well!
And thank you so much ❤ I can use all the prayers I can get right now

One more worry, Lucky (chick with the most face exposed) has a very watery eye (it would've been the eye that was pressed against the side, not the one showing. Currently has both eyes closed. Not moving around much since it can't see. Just transfered from the incubator to the brooder - so no possible contamination. I've used a qtip to clean the eye, with warm water. It opened the eye a bit, and shut it again. Anything else I can do to help it?

What you did is what i would have done. It's hard to say what might've happened.

What i would suspect is that the greater exposure to air made the remaining egg white stickier and it isn't cleared off all the way so it's difficult to open it's eyes, but that wouldnt explain watery eyes.

She has splayed leg as well. I thought she couldn't stand well due to the eye issue but I've just seen her sitting on her bottom.
I'll keep up with the swabbing with warm water and im off and running to the feed store for Nutridrench
(I've also bandaged her little legs. Hoping it helps some.)

Update: I could use some help if anyone sees this!
The tiniest one with splay leg turned out to have curled toes instead. Shes wearing a tiny boot, and getting vitamins. Scooting around everywhere.
A different chick has hatched with wry neck. I've got them on medicated chick starter, that has selenium added to it.
Shes been getting syringe feedings of egg yolk and something similar to Nutridrench with tons of vitamins in it - but isn't showing improvement.
Is it the feed? Should I switch her to non medicated tomorrow?

Sounds more like deficiencies the parents had causing problems. That or maybe incu temp, bit you sounds like you know what you're doing with the incubator.

The medicated feed shouldnt be what's causing these issues

These eggs aren't from my ladies, so there's a good chance its deficiencies. These were supposed to be SOP lines (mine are pet quality) - poor little babies. Hopefully Betty Boop will perk up soon. I just did another round of egg yolk and vitamins, and massaged her neck.
