Hey All.
I just got a Bantam Serama Cockerel two weeks ago. We named him Moo Moo Cluck. He was hand raised by his breeders so he’s very sweet and attached. We love that we can hold him, however he takes it to an extreme. Any time he is back in his coop he paces and cried for about 15 minutes. He wants to be held constantly. I don’t mind holding him but I just can’t do it for hours at a time. He is currently sick has some respiratory issues. He’s getting better but it’s only making him more needy. I have the hardest time listening to his cries and not feeling my heart break. He has perches, toys, a heated mat, he’s rather spoiled. I want to let him rest because he’s sick, however he does nothing but stress when he’s alone. We are not at the point where we can get him a coop Mate. Due to State Poultry Restrictions in CA, due to NewCastle.
