I absolutely know what you mean!! I got a Silkie and hoping she will do just that But until she’s old enough… I’ll be in the learning process for incubators haha.

@MilkFarmChickens You may have to do some research to find the eggs you are interested in incubating, you need to probably start with heritage breed hatcheries. As for turning eggs, as long as they get turned 2 or 3 times a day, they will do fine. Turning is important to give the growing embryo a fresh supply of food several times a day.

Thanks so much! Yep I’ve been researching like crazy… I never knew I liked learning about chickens so much I’ll absolutely check out “heritage breed hatcheries” as well. I also found someone who does chicken shows and she sells some eggs, so I might even get some “fancy” ones to try out… I’ll test a few runs of my own chickens’ eggs in the incubator first
