I would think feed prices in Juneau would be impressively steep.

Well they are more pricy than we would like. I give my hens a lot of supplemental food so they probably don't eat as many pellets. We buy meal worms from Amazon, they get a cup of bird seed every day and lots of greens that would be thrown out as they are too old for the grocery stores to sell.
