That's a lot of combs ... how old are they??
The speckled sussex are supposed to be about 8 weeks old, and the easter eggers around 4 months.
I hate to say it, but yes, they do look like young males.

What is the age & breed of the photo-bombing chicken on the right of the Spec Sussex?

That one is one of my suspicious about 4 month old easter eggers.

Thank you both for your answers!!

Hey all! I was startled to hear a crow break the steady chatter of my ladies earlier today....noooooo!!! I have a couple of ladies that I'm not 100% confident of sex of. I'll post them one at a time.

Meet Gingersnaps, a polish chicken who is delightfully weird and I believe 5-6 ish months old. What are your thoughts? Dude or dudet?v

The photo-bombing EE looks female with a nice narrow comb. The comb is getting pink. If she's 4 mo, then perhaps she's maturing & getting closer to laying an egg. Most of the time mine started at 20-24 weeks old, but once I had an EE lay an egg at only 17 weeks old!
