I originally started with 18 rescues but lost 10 within 15 months (they came from over crowded filthy conditions). I hadn't been around chickens in nearly 46 years, since I was 4. I currently have in that flock:

1 Silkie roo - Big Boy
1 Cochin Bantam roo - The Dark One, my boys get along great
4 Showgirl hens including a crossbeak (Little One)
1 Cochin Bantam hen - Gray, sweetest of all 8
1 Red Sexlink? hen - Red, the boss

My new babies include:

2 unsexed RIR 8 weeks
4 Amberlink pullets 9 weeks
5 Red Sexlink pullets 9 weeks
5 ISA Brown pullets 9 weeks

My newest group came from an overwhelmed friend:

6 black Australorp's (straight run) 9 weeks
3 buff Orpington's pullets approx. 3 weeks
and 2 Khaki Campbell ducks (straight run) approx. 1 week

Total of 33 chickens and 2 ducks (so far) waiting for that friend to call again and offer their other 8 chicks and 6 ducks to us - unprepared once they grow.

I was going to post pics but thread wasn't allowing me.

17 blue laced red wyndotts
8 americanas
17 rainbows
7 buff orpingtons
7 rhoad island reds
27 polish assorted colors

Thats my flock plus 3 pea fowl
