Hi all!
My small flock and I live in Ohio on a hilly, wooded farm with hubby and two dogs who have finally decided "bad dog" means to stop eating my free-range chickens (the dogs, not the hubby
). I haven't been able to convince the wildlife to leave them be, though.
I've gathered eggs since I was a tot. Our boys raised and showed meat chickens and turkeys in 4-H for many years at the county fair, along with cattle, pigs, goats and lambs. We all had a lot of fun and they earned dozens of trophies for all their hard work. They are out and about in the world on their own now.
I'm looking to spread my wings a little on some breed varieties not offered by the big hatcheries.
