So, I became interested in this book because of several posts in this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/445004/woods-style-house-in-the-winter
I noticed in the Google e-book that it was scanned from a copy at NC State University's DH Hill Library. Well, I just happen to take classes for Hort. at NC State, so I decided to check for the book. Well, they had it. The original 1912 version.
I just think it's pretty awesome that I'm able to check out (which I did) a book from 1912.
In the same stack were hundreds of other poultry books. NC State has a great Poultry Science program, so they have plenty of books in the library regarding poultry:
