Barred Rocks ordered from Hoover's = $4.66 each (minimum of 5)

People near me would rather wait until tsc sells $1 chicks then buy ones from me for $3. Id do the same not sure what buying chicks just to sell is gonna do when tsc sells them cheaper

I buy chicks to raise and sell. 100% EEs are the most requested breed. I currently have 12 different breeds on order as well as multiple colors of the same breed. I would look into a different source for obtaining chicks. Get a more varied selection and bump your numbers up to 25 (a full small box). Cost the same to ship.

I am placing my first online chick order of the season. I have decided on 10 Buff Orpingtons and 10 of some other breed. I just can’t decide which “other breed” to get! A few of my options are:

Barred Rocks
Silver Laced Wyandottes
Golden Laced Wyandottes
Rhode Island Reds
ISA Browns
Black Australorps
Cinnamon Queens
Golden Comet
Hampbars
Black Sex-Links

All of those breeds aren't my favorite. Lol

But I'd get barred rocks for sure.

I agree I have ordered several times from Murray McMurray Hatchery and been well satisfied. Good quality healthy birds. Out of orders of 20-25 the most I’ve lost out of an order was 2, and sometimes none. This last time got a few that were sexed incorrectly on our New Hampshires but every thing else and each other time has been perfectly correct. You can order as few of each as you want with no minimum of birds per breed.

Oh my goodness I have six of them I got last Spring they are the nosiest sassy birds I have ever had! and bossy LOL they are great! I am partial to my speckled Sussex and barred rock and of course my silkie but those black sex links are great! I have also not had any prey bird attacks since adding them
