Around 1am this morning I noticed one of our BCM eggs had pipped, it has now been almost 5 hrs since then and she has become very vocal! How long should I wait to see if she hatches on her own? The peeping coming from incubator was loud enough to wake me up while tv and fan were on, I'm just a wreck hoping not to lose this chick. There are 9 other eggs in there of which 7 are blue orpingtons but have no other pips although we have seen the eggs rock from time to time. :barnie
I am freaking out lol.

Relax and enjoy the holiday. They'll be popping like corn today.

It can be a few hours and up to 24 hours from pip to zipping of shell.

Yeah thanks for all the responses and all the help I got here pfft I was told to relax and let them do their thing and now I have a hardened membrane and no movement or peeping going wow great advice.
