that's the way to do it! I never use a thermometer - if they are cold they will huddle under the light, if too warm they will huddle away from the light! Just make sure they have room to get away from the light.

... i can't get any now cause we're about to go on vacation. 2 weeks is a long time!!! i'm getting a white crested blue polish, though, so that helps

Yep! they sure are adorable. I look forward to receiving mine every year. Here at the homestead we usually get between 80 and 100, then another 25 to 30 meat birds. Threw out the years i've had just about every breed, their so funny even now I laugh at the things they do. Enjoy!
