Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Here is a link to the partridge standard of perfection

AND, not to confuse you or anything... Below is the standard of perfection in England (?), Suffolk

Why can't there be 1 standard for everybody? Do the chickens know the difference?

I was told by GM that you are supposed to breed your partridge to a black with red leakage in the neck (or a redneck?

). That is supposed to get you the dark body with the color on the back and neck. That's what I did and got the Watson brothers. You can't tell from the picture but the Watson boys have very black chests and under fluff. But according to the American standard they aren't supposed to have gold on their necks whereas the English 1 they are supposed to.. Oh lordy. I'm going to have to move to England!!

I thought we liked the English... So getting back to the topic of partridge and not world peace or lack there of, can anyone tell me if they show their bright partridge? I have about a half a dozen that are beautiful, but don't have the black chest. Awesome quality but bright chest.
