SWAP RULES - This list is subject to change so please check back periodically.
You must be a member in good standing for 3 months (calculated from the date of your first post) and at least 50 legitimate posts (not all just “Hi” and “Welcome”, etc) to join. If you are a member in good standing for 1 year or more, have a positive trader feedback or at least 500 posts please contact an admin to be cleared for swapping. All others will need to follow the requirements below to be fully cleared for swapping.

No Approval is needed once the form is filled out!
This is a place for swapping HATCHING EGGS, PAYPAL and CHICKS. Any type of eggs are allowed as long as the 1st offer is 6 pure chicken (8 if sending 2 different breeds) or 4 duck or 8 Guinea eggs or 4 for turkey or 2 for goose or 12 for quail. All offers after the first must meet the same minimum requirement as the first offer.
YOU MUST BE 19 OR OVER TO PLAY
First offer (each swap) MUST be either PUREBRED eggs, PUREBRED chicks (ducklings, goslings, etc), or PayPal (minimum $17) Additional offerings can be for mixed. First offer eggs or chicks must be available to send within 2 weeks. Paypal must be paid within 24 hrs, unless noted when to expect it in the offer. Paypal payment is to be a regular payment for goods. Do not send it as a gift!
Eggs and chicks can be claimed for shipping at a later date (say Spring, when claimed in January) if both the swapper and the swappee agree
Eggs should be no older than 4 days old when shipped!
If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations.
Minimum of eggs see above for breed. If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too.
Please make you PayPal offer at least $17 the more you offer the faster it will get claimed and get you off the chain. No one likes to hold things up. Remember those sending eggs have to pay for shipping.
Please post a pic if you have one it will help your eggs move.
To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post 1. "Mine", 2. What you are claiming (post# and/or BYC Username, what item would be helpful) and 3.what you are offering in return.
When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements.
All eggs and chicks MUST be properly packaged (if you don't know how to package, ask on the chat thread or ask the recipient how they like them packed), shipped via Priority Mail or faster, and shipped with tracking #. When eggs are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email to the swappee to let them know that the eggs or chicks are on their way. The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.
If sending different breeds of eggs in the same shipment, please mark the breed on each egg.
So that everyone gets a chance to swap the LIMIT is being set to 7 swaps per week. You may use all your swaps in one day if you wish.
If the thread stalls for 6 hours, the offer will be rolled back to the previous offer. However, an individual can claim the rolled back offer or the current offer.
If you stall the thread for more than 24 hours TOTAL - ALL OFFERS for the current week COMBINED - you will not trade for the rest of the week. If possible the stalled offer will be rolled back to the offer before.
The new week starts at 12:01 AM Sunday EST
All pure breeds of poultry are welcome in the swap. Easter Eggers are welcome as long as they are non-standard color Ameraucanas - meaning mixed color Ameraucanas. Not Olive Eggers or Chocolate Eggers, these may be made only after 1st choice.
Please do not send the eggs, chicks or paypal until the person who claimed your offer has their offer claimed, just in case they are near the 24 hour rule limit.
All NEW swappers must have their 1st 7 swaps verified by one of the admins before they are allowed to swap without restriction. This means if you claim something the person you claim from is not to send you your eggs/paypal until what you have offered has been sent and verified. Verified means either the swapper verifies receipt of PP you sent, or, if eggs or chicks, a DC# showing acceptance by the PO. I realize this will slow things down for some of the new swappers but it has to be done for everyone's protection. This is in effect NOW. If you were a swapper on the old paypal chain you are cleared for this one. If you have completed 7 successful swaps on this chain you are cleared, if you have not you must now stop swapping until you are cleared. This will take some time but a list will be compiled of the eligible swappers and posted.
In order to offer Spring/Summer swaps you must:
1.Have 10 swaps of current eggs cleared
2.Have pictures of your Chickens in your profile or on your swap page
3.List the number of chickens for the breed, age and how many swaps you owe already.
kytinpusher,babymakes6, kraftyladies, CelticOaksFarm and crazypetlady are all able to clear swaps and act in my place if I am not online. The can also find me if something needs to be addressed right away.
Side trades are welcome but please use PMs to avoid confusion.
Please be respectful of others and not tying up the thread so that everyone has a chance to swap. I reserve the right to ban anyone from the swap especially those who are causing issues.
