Pic of my supposed "Light" Brahmas :)

As the subject line says I was sold 5 chicks as Light Brahmas from a small local hatchery I really like. They're currently 5 weeks old. I've never had any Brahmas before so I didn't know one variety from another as day old babies. As the feathers came in they just kept on not being white! hahaha So I guess these are Buff Brahmas? I'm still happy, been wanting to try Brahmas for a while and the Buffs look really pretty in pictures so I'm excited.

Yep buff brahmas, pullets too! Your gonna love them, they are such a sweet, mellow breed.

I love how they look like little doves right now! Such peaceful expressions- I can't wait to see them as they grow and become really big and gorgeous! This was such a fun surprise! I hear about light and dark brahmas often and see pictures, but buff brahmas weren't even really on my radar as an option. I guess they're out there though- I'll be keeping my eyes open for them now for sure!

I wanted to add buffs to my order from Meyer and they didn't have any for my ship date...maybe next year

Yeah! Now that I have them I'm SO happy and while I'm sure the Light Brahmas would have been really nice too I feel like this is an extra special lucky accident!
