I came home tonight to two of my week old Hollands having theirs vents picked raw by the other chicks. Here's the pics, any advice? I but both of the offended in another box for the night, one seems fine, the other seems much more affected, not moving around much.

Are all of the chicks the same age? The first picture looks as if the chick may have a prolapsed vent, which can sometimes attract picking with the pink tissue sticking out. The treatment is to put honey or Preparation H on it to reduce swelling, and try to push it back inside. You will need to get some anti-pick lotion for the other chick, but in the meantime, apply some plain neosporin or bactracin ointment to the vent. Some breeds are more aggressive than others. Make sure that they have enough room, because pecking will occur if they are crowded, or eating less than 18-20 % protein.
