Pinless Peepers making it difficult for chickens to eat

I put Pinless Peepers on my chickens a few weeks ago to stop feather picking behavior, but I've noticed that some of the are having difficulty eating out of their hanging feeder. Has anyone else had this problem? Here is the type of feeder I use:

I don't know why they are having such trouble! Do I need a different feeder? Any recommendations?

They will have issues pecking anything moving or swinging in front of them. Secure the feeder so it can't swing and see if it fixes the problem.

Mine don't have issues eating with them, but the spacing of the little food dish areas in my feeder's reservoir is wider. Maybe the peepers can't go down that low?

Mine didn't have issues eating really, but she couldn't get the nipple waterer!

How long has she had them on? Mine walked backwards in a circle for almost an hour, then caught on. Maybe she just needs a little longer to figure it out? Or you could put out a bowl of food, or make a mash she can eat.

My hens couldn't eat from a Galvanized feeder wearing pinless peepers.

I had to hang a pail for the 3 wearing the Peepers.
