Ok so im once again hatching more quail lol and I have some of those nice (cheap) plastic brooder boxes you can get. I have tried paper towels, non slip matting etc for the floor. Now every day when I come home and having to 'de-poop' my chicks feet. Getting quite annoying now so does anyone have any suggestions as a way to reduce the poop feet? I was thinking maybe a fine wire mesh so their mess can fall through. And I was thinking, maybe wrongly, it would be ok for grip?

thanks in advance guys

Use some sort of absorbant bedding like pine shavings, sand, pellets or even get them on wire. Poopy feet is not good for spreading cocci.

depends on how many quail chicks. I use a hamster cage. I put newspaper down than papertowels. That way no mess stains the cage. I clean it out once a day, No matter what. After a week, I do Pine shavings on top of Newspaper.
