Still need do the wood shingle siding and create a tunnel for them to reach the run but they are secure for the moment. Also need to add a operable vent. Note salvaged weather vane and Andersons windows. My daughter is holding a cross between Chinese silky and polish not your average breed but

Two day bigger coop build. Have to many chickens for current coop. For some reason when you start out thinking you will just get 2 chickens you come home with 7 and make plans to get more.... oh well. My first coop cost me $250.00 from Tractor Supply Co. (keeping it in my garage to use for young chicks before they go outside) and the one I just built was just over $300.00. I really liked it solid white but my little boys wanted red on it. I think it turned out good.














































 
Hello all!

Finally my flock is able to all be outside and their coop is all ready.
We had a sign painter come out and hand paint on their coop
to give it a little character. I hope no one gets offended.
