My girls are laying VERY large eggs. The one on the right is so big it won't fit in the carton.
We get one like this every day, and if I do stuff it in the carton it breaks the egg next to it.

Guess we will eat the jumbos, and sell the others

My first egg was laid today. Not a big one but I was excited about it. Not sure which of my 2 sex links laid. I didn't notice any signs that she was going to lay

First egg from my four RIR hens. I got this one yesterday and another one today, not sure if they are both from the same hen or if two different ones are laying. One of them has a bigger, redder comb and waddles than all the rest, so I'm sure she laid the first one at least.

My first incubated/hatched pullet laid her first egg this morning!



I am so excited! I didn't expect I would hatch anything on my first try, and I wasn't expecting her to lay an egg so soon! I feel pretty chuffed that I got a chicken to survive from egg to laying her own eggs. I'm also really proud of her!
