Ouch!!! I've had one of my girls lay a double yolk but I've never seen an egg within an egg but I'm so new to chickens I'm quickly learning anything can happen lol.

Thanks for posting this pic....now I know that I cannot tell the Australorp eggs from the RIR eggs! I have seen the RIR on the nest though....
