We breed our lines toward being SOP correct, and toward large- X-large, dark eggs. Our birds are large sized with feathered shanks. Egg production has been great, and type and color of males and females, especially nice. Many people who have purchased our birds have placed well at shows with them.
Our eggs took won multiple top awards last year in Modesto, plus, the Texas state fair last spring, and in Georgia, 1st and 2d Best Copper Marans eggs, and People's Choice, twice. Our eggs also placed 1st and 2nd this past Spring in Texas as well.
The birds personalities are wonderful. Friendly, docile (usually very friendly) smart & non-aggressive- they get along very well in mixed flocks, and with bantams and other LF breeds. They freerange and get a lot of goodies from our gardens and orchards.
