I'm planning on getting a new bunch of baby chicks in the next couple of weeks. One of the breeds I was thinking of adding was California Whites. I was wondering, if I raised them from day old chicks and gave them lots of handling and attention, will they be as friendly as a Barred Rock or other brown egg layers? Is there any crosses in the Leghorn breed that can be raised to be cuddly instead of nervous and flighty?
