I know Murry Mcmurry Hatchery has these, but the picture isn't any good, and I don't know what this breed looks like! Does anybody have any pictures of these? Thanks,

Here's a pic of a female I got from McMurray last year,I took it from above because that'as the best was to see her "red cap". She was the ONLY one out of 10 that survived past 2 weeks. I had an experienced person raise them for me and she thought the breed was extra sensative, and maybe closely bred, she couldn't understand why she lost so many of them, When she grew up, she was not at all what I expected.
I've got 10 coming from Ideal this year, so maybe next spring...........I'll hatch some myself..

No, they're not mixed with buttercups. Their combs are actually like an oversized rosecomb, but very jagged and lumpy. (image from feathersite - )

They're a very old english breed, more can be read here: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Redcap/BRKRedcap.html

Ever since I saw the illustration of them in Murray McMurray a year ago, I was very interested - But found out they look nothing like the illustration. They're more of a BBR than that red they show.

NancyinAlaska: Nice girl! I've never seen someone's MM redcap before.
