Be mindful of the heat, y'all. My girl was too big & feathery to deal with the heat today. I'm so unbearably broken-hearted. She was the first chicken to ever lay us an egg, on the first of this year. She was very curious and sweet, and I always thought she'd make a good mom but never had the chance. There's a 5th chicken buried under our pear tree tonight.
