So update... I locked Big Pappa up in the coop ( with minimal food and water) for the past week and just let the others(hopefully hens) free range in our yard. When I let him out finally yesterday he was a little less aggressive hopefully it will last but it sounds like the older they get the more aggressive they get. But so far Big Pappa is still part of the family, and I keep my rooster chaser close by when I go out to feed the flock. Its funny how a ceiling duster can scare off a mean rooster
