ROOSTER: Wheaten or Blue Wheaten Ameraucana? PIC

I've googled to try to determine which is which, but as far as looks, they appear to be the same...or at least to my "untrained" eye. Here's a pic of my guy.

He's Blue Wheaton. Look at his chest. That's how you can tell. The Wheaton males have black chests.

You have a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. Wheaten Ameraucanas have black in their chests, whereas yours has blue. He's a beautiful bird!

One way to tell a dark blue (almost black looking) from a real black is that a black will have a sheen on them where as a blue (whether light or dark) will not have this sheen on the feathers.

Great thank you. He is so pretty, but I couldn't keep him bc I don't want to bother the neighbors. We will be moving in a couple years and there will be no neighbors this time!!

Thankfully my girlfriend took him so I can still see him. He came from the brightest blue egg.!

Aoxa, the first picture you posted is of a brown red, not a wheaten.
