My lavenders are feathering out in pretty rough shape. I see 2 maybe 3 that I would breed back to black that dont seem as bad as the others. I don't think the hatchery I got them from does any generational breeding back to black. Will this be difficult to get rid of? Will it take more than one time going to black-split- lavender?
This is my first time breeding lanvenders. I hope to work on them for several years to get show quality birds ( I know they aren't recognized by APA.... yet)
Any advice is welcomed. I plan to start breeding next year when I have my garage converted to a brooder/coop. I wanted to get the chick's early so I can figure out temperament and full feathering before I get elbows deep in chicks.
