The stump wasn’t as bloody as I expected, and it stopped bleeding relatively quickly. I brought her inside for now. She doesn’t seem to miss the foot that much.

Since she’s missing a foot and part of a leg, I am not going to release her. It would be different if it was only her toes, but the fact is that she won’t be able to walk normally again. Thankfully, pigeons are very adaptable and she’s been doing well in my aviary. Maybe she’ll even let me pet her some day. :love

Wow! What a clean break. She's looking fantastic! So glad to have followed her journey.

Sort of a weird side note, but you should keep that foot! You can toss it in some salt or borax to dry it out. Could just be a cool 'souvenir' from your challenges together!
