Russian Orloffs

First Russian Orloff I've had. I think she's beautiful. Her name is Shirley! hahaha

We have Orloffs hatching now, 5 of 6 so far! I have a question regarding chick coloring, some are very light yellow, some are striped brown. Does this indicate anything? Sex? Spangling? Thanks for sharing any observations!

They are from a breeder, not hatchery if that helps

I went to tsc and they said that these were the specielty breeds and they said speckled sussex so i got one and i dont think its a speckled sussex im really thinking Russian orloff

i got some too from tsc but i believe they are speckled sussex they dont look like yours though.

I don't see any beard or muffs on that chick, should see a least a little puffiness if it is an Orloff. Sussex have straight combs and white legs. But coming from tsc, who knows, could just be poor quality, hatchery-type stock.

So maybe it is a speckled sussex and maybe its a Russian orloff idk ill post pics again in a week or 2
