Weird question, but SFs have that extra toe with a nail. Should i periodically cut that toe nail down or leave it?

If it gets too long, I'd trim it. I do with my Silkies. Sometimes they grow around in a way that "pokes" them, and I worry about them getting it caught on things.Weird question, but SFs have that extra toe with a nail. Should i periodically cut that toe nail down or leave it?

I'm afraid to take clippers to it and nick a vein since I can't see the quick.

Yes i have both, trimmers and styptic powder. If i could wrestle to cut my cats nails, I think i’d be able to do a chickensYes I trim mine once in a while (like once a year) and I just use dog nail trimmers (I cut my dogs' nails 3x a month so I'm pretty accustomed to trimming nails by this point)! Even if you do nick the quick, some styptic powder will fix it.
Heck yes, you can! I can't imagine wrestling a cat!Yes i have both, trimmers and styptic powder. If i could wrestle to cut my cats nails, I think i’d be able to do a chickens
