I have 3 embden geese (Lucy, Brucie and Red) they were bought online through a reputable company and supposed to be sexed female and are now about 6 months old. Red is the biggest of the flock and very chill but is kinda the outsider. Lucy is middle of the road and kind of a follower. Brucie is the most aggressive with lowest, loudest and most honking of the flock. It seems Lucy and Brucie have paired off.
You can tell Lucy and Brucie have paired off and have been "mating" every day for about a month the same goose is always on top (Lucy) with Brucie on the bottom. It took Lucy about a week or so to get it right, facing forward and biting the back of the neck so now it looks like full on mating..... Red has no interest in their shananagines.
Soooooo..... IS LUCY ACTUALLY A MALE????
