I will only if I have a broody available. I refuse to start up the incubators. I may see if I can convince one of my girls to go broody. He he he. Wish my half blind hen would go again. She is a good mom and just looooves it. Never had a hen "keep" her babies as long as she did.
And after having the current 16 chicks in the garage I'm not sure I want to risk the wrath of DH for a New Year's hatch.
But I can get some lovely lavender birds from a d'Uccle friend in December.....

Actually I think i was finally UNDER the 100 mark..........until this last hatch of 21 er 20 now. The last hen sitting on eggs has at least 10 eggs, I think actually MORE under her. I want to say I set 14 and she has broken or kicked out at least one, possibly two........I tried to count but she is VICIOUS. Vicious, I tell you.
