Here is my Delawegger boy. He is a teenager now.

Laura, he's really great looking! I have one of Maretta's babies sired by Rex in the brooder, which would be a Barred EE, of course, however, along with some of June's eggs, I now have another of Maretta's eggs, but this time, the chick will be sired by Isaac, therefore a Delawegger. I candled it and it's growing great. Saturday is Day 7. If it looks as great as yours and Ike will accept it, it may just get to stay in the main flock. Poor Ike needs some back-up with his 24 hens going every which way on range.

BTW, after deciding not to buy that over-the-range microwave, our little microwave died today. Just our luck.

Tom says he ain't taking that range hood off there to install a microwave after twisting himself out of shape to get it installed so guess we'll buy another small one for the counter. Sigh. I need it because my coffee maker doesn't get the coffee hot enough and I have to put it in the microwave. Guess I really need a better coffee maker, too.

Now I only been to AL three times and I ain't never been made to feel unwelcome only once. I suspect it was a northerner visiting. It was when I was driving too. I can't argue with any dissin of the north. I've told DW the next time I come down it's going to be one way. If my DS and his had bought a house with land around it so I could have my chickens , I'd load up the van and be there as fast as a gallon of gas could get me there. You'd know I'm coming through when you hear the squawking coming from my car.

However I will say this. I saw a bill board for a Porn Mall and unless it means something different it ain't fittin, it jus ain't fittin. With all the dang churches down there I don't see how it ever got allowed.

Could be that is why they need all the churches

Cyn, I agree, the new oven is making everything else feel bad

Have you checked the fuse in the microwave? We had one quit and all it needed was a new fuse.
I wish the Delawegger could stay, he is very sweet. I kept trying to find someone to take him and had just about given up. I thought we were going to have to eat him. Good luck with getting some Delaweggers. I am definately going to try for some more.

It was making a thunking sound so not sure about the fuse. Will have DH check that. We had an old one that blew a fuse once so who knows?

I'm so tired. Was going to a poultry show in Dalton tomorrow. dont' think I will now. Been working on Ellie's winter quilt all day and the main design is pieced together. Now have to decide what to do to make it larger, more log cabin blocks or just borders. It's 70.5" square right now and I need it to be bigger, but no larger than 90 x 108, since that's the size of the black cotton batting I bought for it.

That is a nice quilt Cynthia. I am amazed a how they get all the patterns to match.
