Sexing ameraucana by comb, I’d love to learn!

Question, when sexing an Ameraucana by comb….tell me if I’m right. 1st picture I’m guessing is a rooster because the base of his comb is wider. 2nd picture I’m guessing is a hen because the comb is thinner. Tell me if I’m right or wrong, I’d love to learn.

I'm not sure it works like that. The only way I've ever been able to sex them is when they get older, 6 to 8 weeks. Then you judge the combs by size and color.

These guys are 4 weeks old, bantam ameraucanas. I guess I’ll wait longer haha

Yep, I def agree with this. EE's can be super deceiving.

Agreed. It can, but it doesn't mean it will. Especially when you've got heterozygous peas
